Aliori Estate is located on the beautiful Greek island of Crete, along its southern shores, approximately 60 kilometres south of Heraklion, the island's capital and home to the international airport, Nikos Kazantzakis.

The family-owned estate comprises four independent houses, used both as private residences and holiday rentals. Built on different levels around a charming little square, some 25 metres above sea level, they form a picturesque small neighbourhood overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Each house features spacious verandas with magnificent views of the sea and the surrounding mountains.

Here, Cretan nature is an ever-present companion, and every season brings its own distinctive charm and beauty.

Two traditional stone staircases, each with approximately 120 steps, lead down to the beach. Every residence has its own independent entrance and private access to the staircases, ensuring privacy and independence for all guests.

Visitors are welcome to enjoy the shared areas of the estate freely, while the private outdoor spaces belonging to each residence are clearly defined and reserved exclusively for its occupants.

A few things worth knowing Living so close to nature is part of the unique experience of Aliori Estate. However, guests should be aware that the natural surroundings may occasionally bring insects, such as flies, and that weather conditions can sometimes be unpredictable, particularly when it comes to wind.

The sea is generally calm, with no significant currents or tides, making it ideal for swimming and exploring the underwater world. The seabed and marine life are particularly interesting for those who enjoy snorkeling.

Access to the beach is via stone staircases with approximately 120 steps. Therefore, a reasonable level of physical fitness is recommended. For those who wish to take a short break along the way, two benches have been placed at convenient points along the stairs.

Our location

Tsoutsouros
The nearby seaside village of Tsoutsouros is located approximately 1.5 kilometres west of Aliori Estate. During the summer season, regular public bus services connect Tsoutsouros with Arkalochori and Heraklion.
For greater convenience and flexibility, however, we recommend arriving by car, either your own or a rental. Alternatively, if you prefer not to drive, we can arrange transportation to and from the estate at a reasonable cost.

When driving from Heraklion International Airport, I recommend taking the following route: Heraklion – Arkalochori (via the new road) – Skinias – Kato Kastelliana – Tsoutsouros.
Upon reaching the entrance of Tsoutsouros, turn left towards Kastri and Keratokampos (eastbound).
Approximately 1 kilometre after leaving the village, look for a dirt road on your right-hand side. Follow it for about 100 metres until you reach a gate. Enter through the gate and continue along the concrete road for another 80 metres, which will take you directly to Aliori Estate.
